The Ave Website

Friday Feast is…
a free weekly soup kitchen meal,
but it's also a lively and diverse community

Located in Seattle's University district that offers guests a restaurant quality hot meal, a selection of fresh produce, toiletries, clothing and other essentials. Always we serve coffee, hot chocolate and dessert. While all are welcome at the meal, our priority is to serve a well balanced and hearty meal to food insecure individuals, whether they’re UW students, local families, low-income seniors or our unhoused neighbors.

The Problem: 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organizations need a website link to apply for financial grants

So far, online presence for Friday Feast only exists on third party organization websites almost as an advertisement. It’s effective for people that wnat to attend the dinner service, but not for people that want more information, like volunteers or donors or organizations giving out grants.

People want the story, the vibe
and where to find us
and to be able to find it quickly

Questions the Website Seeks to Answer

How do I get in touch with someone from Friday Feast?

The only way to get in contact with anyone from Friday Feast was to attend a dinner service. What if donors or volunteers were out of town? We needed a funneled, digital, reliable form of contact with ways for the person to describe why they are contacting - be it a dinner guest or a volunteer.

What is offered at a Friday Feast dinner service?

We don't want anyone to be held back from getting a hot dinner by lack of information, so we make sure they know exactly what is offered - meals, groceries, dessert, clothing and toiletries

How can I help? What are the avenues of support?

The website emphasize that people can volunteer by coming to a dinner service on a Friday evening, or financially support or donate goods and groceries.

Color Scheme

We wanted it to embody the heart Friday Feast - not too flashy, but bright, welcoming, and humbly joyful with subtle inspiration from fresh vegetables.
